There have
been rumors circulating hereabouts that we have some kind of odd
fascination with the tarpons and other aquatic life that occupy the
Simpson Bay Lagoon, on the shores of which our fine establishment
resides.
Permit us to
set the record straight.
It's true,
every word of it. True, true, true.
To guide
dinghies to our dinghy dock, we have floodlights lit at night. (This end
of the lagoon is a bit shallow, and there's nothing quite so unnerving
while enjoying a delicious steak than having to set straight a wayward
dinghy.)
Well, night
lights bring fish, curious about what's going on. And occasionally,
we've been known to toss light evening snacks to the fish. It's nothing
formal – they're not always here. But we're seriously considering doing
it ritualistically, every night at a certain hour.
We'll keep
you posted. Tarpon feeding might be a fun after-dinner diversion.
Certainly the tarpons would like it!
